NJ State Fair Homebrew Competition - 14th Annual - 2010 Rules
The registration period is Saturday, June 19 through Saturday, July 17, 2010. Registration, drop-off, and mail-in entries will be accepted only during this period.
All participant and entry registrations must be completed online.
There will be a 200 entry limit for this competition.
This is a BJCP and AHA sanctioned competition.
Judges will use the 2008 Beer Judge Certification Program Style Guidelines for this competition. Only categories 1-23 will be judged in this competition. No meads or ciders accepted. Entrants may only submit one entry per subcategory.
It is the responsibility of the brewer to decide and indicate when registering, the appropriate category and sub-category for their entry
Depending on the number of entries and category distribution, categories and subcategories may be combined or separated for judging and awards purposes however beers will be judged according to the category/subcategory in which they are entered.
Each entry will be evaluated by at least two judges. A final score will be assigned to each entry upon consensus of the judges. This score will not necessarily be an average of each judge's score.
All judging will be conducted during a closed session on Saturday, July 31, 2010
Participants will be notified of the results via e-mail.
Participants must be 21 years of age or older.
Entries become the property of SCF&HS Creative Arts for Home and Hobby Division.
Entries may be rejected for questionable appearance, bottling, damage or failure to comply with these requirements.
